Mission
At Career Choice Consulting, our business is to inspire CHANGE! After-all, change is the only constant in our worldly lives and we experience it daily. Global warming made us increasingly conscious about waste and abuse of natural resources and the rapid growth in technology changed the way we communicate, learn, bank, shop, and search for jobs, etc. Yet, we adapt to instances of becoming or evolving and that is our ultimate goal...to give our clients the fundamental tools and resources necessary to foster the change they seek in their professional development. At Career Choice Consulting, we operate with this in mind and have identified the following 6 elements as actions each individual should take to enhance their value in this era of technology and globalization.
Communication: The key element and human beings primary pathway to change, progress and prosperity. Effective communication skills have continually opened doors to opportunities and cultural exchange. The art of communication is never mastered. Thus the need for continued learning in order to reinforce open-mindedness is a requirement for success.
Health & wellness: The way a person looks impacts the way they feel and their presentation. Without healthy habits, healthy bodies and minds – each of which is dependent on the other – one could very quickly fall behind the competition. By changing your mind and your body, you will be seen as adaptable, flexible, always on the move and ready for the next challenge.
Attitude: Where do you want to go? How soon do you want to get there? How badly do you want those things that will improve the quality of your life and lifestyle? Are you hungry enough to reach out and take them? Attitude determines your altitude in life and career. You may aim high or low, move fast or slow, or, just maintain the pace that goes with the flow…it’s your choice!
Next gen: The internet, social media, green jobs, work from home, virtual career fairs/classrooms. Irrespective of your emotional response, technology fuels the engines that drive the world right now and there is no reverting. The sooner one accepts the virtual world, the faster they are likely to adapt and grow. Embrace the trend or risk being bypassed on the way to your next step.
Growth: Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Can you recall that question? Answer this one: What do I need to do to be where I need to be personally and professionally in the next 5 years? Growth is a natural part of life and is integral to the change process but it does require preparation. Are you mentally, physically, emotionally, academically and socially ready for progress?
Education: Not what you did in school, but, how you applied what you learned/acquired while you were in High School, College, University, etc. We are all instruments of change! Education is a catalyst for change and beyond High School, it becomes your personal responsibility. Has your education kept pace with the technological revolution? If not, how will you remedy that situation?
